Local Banker Completes PA Bankers Association’s Advanced School of Banking

BusinessTeam_AnthonyPostupackJim Thorpe, Pennsylvania, August 7, 2024– Anthony Postupack, Vice President & Commercial Loan Officer of Mauch Chunk Trust Company, recently completed coursework at the 2024 Pennsylvania Bankers Association (PA Bankers) Advanced School of Banking, July 26, 2024.

Since joining Mauch Chunk Trust in 2009, Postupack’s role has involved managing complex financial transactions and understanding the financial needs of our region’s business owners. He is a 2009 graduate of Bloomsburg University, holding a dual bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Finance, and a graduate of Hazleton Area High School in Hazleton, PA, and currently resides in Luzerne County. Postupack is also a graduate of Leadership Carbon in 2012, Schuylkill Executive Leadership in 2021 and the Pennsylvania Bankers Association School of Commercial Lending in 2013.

PA Bankers' Advanced School of Banking is a three-year program that teaches financial services knowledge and skills and paves the road for participants to become leaders at any level within their organization. The curriculum provides a greater understanding of the multiple banking disciplines and how those disciplines work together within the bank. It is analogous to 200-, 300- and 400-level college course study.

PA Bankers has been bringing banks and bankers together for more than 125 years to learn, grow, serve and engage with their peers, communities and lawmakers. The association has built a strong reputation as a leading advocate for pro-banking policies at the state and federal levels, as well as the delivery of quality education, products and services for banks of all sizes and their employees.

Mauch Chunk Trust Company is a locally owned and managed independent community bank with its main office in Jim Thorpe, Carbon County, PA. The bank operates seven full-service community offices in Carbon and Schuylkill Counties as well as a Wealth Management office in Jim Thorpe. MCT was incorporated on August 25, 1902, as the successor institution to the Second National Bank of Mauch Chunk established in 1864.
