Mauch Chunk Trust Company presents donation to the Schuylkill County Volunteer Firefighters’ Association

Jim Thorpe, Pennsylvania

On September 17, 2020, the Mauch Chunk Trust Company presented a $5,000 donation to the Schuylkill County Volunteer Firefighters’ Association in support of upgrades to their Emergency Service Training Center in the Frackville Industrial Park.

The Emergency Services Training Center is anchored by a newly-dedicated "burn building" that allows local volunteer firefighters to train in simulated real-life conditions. This ensures the availability of trained, certified personnel to respond to fire calls and to others in the community. Other training options at the center include passenger car, truck and railcar scenarios as well as interior classrooms for academics and exterior pavilions for practical, hands-on exercises. More information about this training center can be found at www.schcountytrainingacademy.com

Mauch Chunk Trust Company was incorporated August 25, 1902 as the successor institution to the Second National Bank of Mauch Chunk, established in 1864. We remain a locally owned and managed independent community bank, with the main office in Jim Thorpe, PA. Mauch Chunk Trust operates 7 Community Offices & 1 Trust/Investment Office, with presence in Schuylkill County in the Tamaqua area (Hometown & West Penn).
